Everybody connected with The Vllagers sends their congratulations to Assistant Manager Darryn Stamp on the award of a PhD from the University of Hull. 

The PhD has been awarded in Sport Science (Sociology). The title of Darryn’s doctoral thesis is “Understanding the \relational and Emotional Dimensions of Transitions in Elite Sport: Professional Footballers Tales”.
Commenting on his Doctorate, Darryn said,

“Basically, I looked at how players navigate the way through professional football and how life outside of sport impacts on life inside sport and vice versa. My findings showed how, at any one time, players were involved in multiple networks of relationships that impacted upon their multiple transitional experiences. Essentially, players experienced and understood their transition through social interaction with others”.
